We are now in a world that
is characterized as the information age. This means that every average person
is expected to be informed on every issue. At the same time, intellectualism has
also grown to an appreciable extent in which the opinions of experts in
different fields are of high value. However,the problem with this present age
is that,
we are now consciously or unconsciously replacing divine communication
with the opinions of the experts and this is very dangerous. When God has
spoken on a matter and the experts say something else, the ideal thing is for
us to go with what God has said and act on it by faith, but some people finds
it difficult to do so because the opinion of the expert looks reasonable to the
mind while God’s instruction may look unreasonable. Remember; God uses the
foolish things of this world to confound the wise and the foolishness of God is
wiser than men.
